Form and Function/One Wilshire: The Most Expensive Space in North America was an exhibition held at Chapman College in 2003. As an associate member of AUDC, John Southern worked with AUDC founders Kazys Varnelis and Robert Sumrell on their One Wilshire research project, and assisted in the design and installation of the exhibition material. The project is an analysis of the cultural and societal impact of data hotels on the built environment as well as on design culture as a whole. AUDC's installation consisted of a model of the building as well as a series of photographs, a peep-show box, and visual imagery by the photographer, Steve Rowell. You can learn more about the One Wilshire project by AUDC on their website.
